UA-ACTS Mentors

Students who participate in this program will each be assigned a therapist-mentor as their primary contact in the program. The therapist-mentor will be a psychology graduate student or advanced undergraduate student who has at least one year of experience with the UA-ACTS program.



The Advisory Board for UA-ACTS is composed of a number of individuals with a vested interest in the success of individuals with ASD. The Advisory Board meets two to three times each year to guide the clinical, outreach, and research activities of the UA-ACTS program. Currently, the Advisory Board includes:

  • Parents of an individual with ASD
  • Statewide ASD advocacy representative
  • Community providers of adult ASD clinical services
  • Faculty and staff from The University of Alabama, including representatives from collaborating departments and programs
  • UA-ACTS directors and staff members
